Electric Car Show

Hundreds of Texan electric vehicle drivers and enthusiasts will show their electric vehicles and answer questions to highlight the clean-air benefits and cost-savings of electric cars Sept. 14. The event is part of the fifth annual National Drive Electric Week.

Over 1.2 million EVs have been sold in the US, and more manufacturers are committing to EVs as the future. Plug-in vehicles by Nissan, GM, Mitsubishi, Toyota, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Tesla and other automakers will be on display, and tours of the solar install on the IKEA roof will be available.

Greater Houston’s event is one of more than 280 across the country (and around the world) where electric vehicle owners and their neighbors will hold electric car parades, “tailpipe-free” tailgate parties, recognition of leaders promoting EVs, launches of new public EV charging stations and other public events.
