Presbyterian School pre-kindergartners Jesse Mackey, Rosie Freels, Finley Lopez, and Parker Ciolli (pictured, from left) hopped aboard Pre-K Airlines to visit Egypt (aka an immersive learning experience in the classroom). PK4 teacher Lindsay Renken developed the Pre-K Airlines curriculum 15 years ago to introduce young students to the culture of various countries around the world. Throughout the school year, students discover eight different places around the world, learning literacy, math, science, art, history, and language, all from the point of view of a far-away land. This year’s pre-kindergarteners recently traveled back in time to Ancient Egypt to learn about the pyramids and hieroglyphs, discover who dug up the tomb of King Tut, and even design their own sarcophagus.
