The Oakes siblings arrived at the parade ready to celebrate with their wagon decked out in red, white, and blue.

Memorial neighbors gathered for the annual Villages’ Independence Parade on Fourth of July. The Fun Run and Bike Ride, hosted by the Memorial Villages Police Department, kicked off the festivities. The runners and bikers were followed by a procession of red, white, and blue floats. Residents and community leaders decked out their vehicles in patriotic decor, throwing candy and beads to attendees who lined the streets. Pictured are the Oakes sisters in their patriotic car. The Villages Fire Department took up the caboose of the parade, blasting their sirens and lights for the onlookers. See more photos and a video from the festivities by Grace DeJong here.
