Members of Girl Scout Troop 147134 have really enjoyed playing gaga ball at Girl Scout camp, but couldn’t find many places in Houston to play the game, so they decided to bring the game to their neighborhood. Using funds from the Parker PTO and Girl Scout cookie-sales proceeds, the girls secured the supplies and got to work with power tools. November Ostrovsky, Stephanie O'Neal, Ellie Kirby, Bilen Kileta, Maci Chavez, Alyssa Doan, Olive Hales, and Abby Hogue (pictured, from left) installed a gaga-ball pit at the Spark Park next to Parker Elementary School. The fifth graders completed the project to earn their Girl Scouts Bronze Award. Once the project was complete, they invited their Girl Scout “sisters” from younger troops to attend a party to introduce the younger girls to gaga ball.
