The road to The Final Four has been a road well-traveled for former Kinkaid Falcons basketball star Jaedon LeDee. The 2018 Kinkaid graduate returned home to Houston this week along with his San Diego State University teammates just two wins away from winning the NCAA National Championship.

“It feels great to be home,” said LeDee shortly after his arrival in Houston this week. “This is where it all started and it's such a great moment. God is good and I’m ready to get to work this weekend.”

Upon graduating from Kinkaid in 2018, LeDee spent his freshman season at Ohio State before transferring to TCU for the next two years. After then transferring to San Diego State and also sitting out a season, the 6-9 LeDee has been a key contributor to the Aztecs remarkable run to the Final Four. He ranks fourth on the team in scoring with nearly eight points a game and second in rebounding with five rebounds per game.

“We are extremely proud and excited,” said Jayden’s father Herbert LeDee, who also has close ties to Kinkaid where he’s been an assistant girls basketball coach for the last 14 years. “As parents, my wife (Sherri) and I are simply amazed how resilient and determined our son has been to get this spot. As a basketball guy, I started watching the Final Four 38 years ago and now to have a front-row seat to see your son play at home is one of the greatest things you can ever imagine.”
