Sharing the love of music

West U resident Dee Dee Dochen (pictured), a marketing and communications professional, enjoys sharing her love of music with the community. Her variety band, Moondance, performs in front of West U City Hall each year for the Chevron Houston Marathon runners, and 2023 was their 10th year as an official marathon-route band. When she’s not singing with Moondance, Dee Dee enjoys producing the closing-night concert for the annual ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival that showcases musicians and performers who live with disabilities. Recently, Dee Dee donated a portion of her collection of nearly 75 miniature pianos to students at Parker Elementary Music Magnet School during their third-grade piano recital. “It’s time to share most of them with a next-gen of piano lovers,” said Dee Dee.
