Memorial High School students and Memorial Villages Police Department are gearing up for the third annual Birdies Fore Blues golf tournament at Houston Oaks on March 9. Brothers Harrison and Hunter Lee, along with friend Michael O’Shell, founded the fundraising event in 2021 to support the Memorial Villages police officers and their families. Event chairs Robert Evans, Hayden Halaska, John Hubbard, and the Stefanakis family are coordinating the effort that brings together Memorial Villages families with MHS golf and baseball players to support the Memorial Villages Police Foundation. The tournament format will be a 4-man scramble with teams coordinated by event volunteers to include two registered players, one MHS athlete, and one police officer. Since its inception, Birdies Fore Blues has raised more than $500,000 to support Memorial Villages law enforcement.
