Eagle Scouts give back

Troop 478 recently celebrated the Eagle Court of Honor for Brian Jones, Keith Jones, and Ian McCormack (pictured, from left). The three boys met in Pre-K at Valley Oaks Elementary and were all part of Pack 552. Brian and Keith completed projects for the Brookwood Community. Brian built an ADA-compliant worktable and shelving unit for the Dog Treats Program, Brookwood’s on-site employment program for residents. Keith designed and built large trellises for the Brookwood vegetable garden using repurposed flag poles and cattle panels. Ian’s project, benefitting the City of Spring Valley Village, involved constructing and installing a lending library to honor his Valley Oaks Elementary librarian and a bike rack to honor his family’s commitment to the National MS Society MS 150.
