Raevyn Rogers Day

The Kinkaid School community honored Olympian Raevyn Rogers, ’14 Kinkaid grad, at a “Raevyn Rogers Day” ceremony at the school. Raevyn won a bronze medal in track and field at the Tokyo Olympics. At Kinkaid, Raevyn was a multi-sport varsity athlete. She went on to run at the University of Oregon. During the ceremony, Raevyn and track coach Megan Watson were issued proclamations by Piney Point mayor Mark Kobelan, citing their contributions to the city’s legacy. David Holm, the school’s director of athletics, announced that the annual Kinkaid Track Invitational will be renamed the Raevyn Rogers Invitational. In a speech, Raevyn recognized Cheryl Mitchell, girls’ cross-country head and wellness director, who coached Raevyn and supported her.
