Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt

Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt is the simplest form of delicious.

Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt is the daily breakfast I am craving. It might seem simple and a total no-brainer, and it is. But more than that, Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt is texture in a mundane morning routine: toasty sprouted grains, creamy avocado, crispy radish, crunchy flakes of salt. Delicious, too. And the antioxidants in radishes, healthy fats in avocado, and protein in Ezekiel Bread will set you up for a strong day.

About the bread: This summer, my daughter babysat for a family who kept Ezekiel Bread in their freezer, and she asked me to buy it. I watched her for a few weeks as she took slices from the freezer to toast them, and I finally decided if she was so hooked, there must be something to it. There is: texture. Crunchy, not squishy, and super satisfying. The protein and lack of flour and sugar are bonuses.

Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt brings simple ingredients together in a straightforward, easy, and altogether craveable breakfast. It’s avocado toast living its best life.

Crunchy Avocado Toast with Radishes and Flaky Salt

2 slices Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Bread (find it in your grocer’s freezer, and store it in yours), toasted
½ avocado, barely mashed with the back of a fork
Squeeze of lemon
Flaky salt
Red pepper flakes
1 radish, thinly sliced

Spread the mashed avocado on the two bread slices. Squeeze a little bit of lemon over, then sprinkle evenly with a little flaky salt and red pepper flakes. Arrange the radish slices on top, and add another little sprinkle of salt and red pepper.
