A Taste of Halloween 2020: All Treats, no Tricks

Creating a fun and Covid-safe way to celebrate Halloween 2020 was tricky. But Buzz-area families brewed up some spooktacularly creative ways to bring treats to kids – and kids at heart – in the neighborhood while remaining socially distanced.

Candy chutes – a contactless (and fun) way to deliver candy to kids – were a huge hit, such as artist Ashley Hope’s basilisk creation. Trunk-or-treat gatherings or drive-through events, such as this one hosted by Bellaire Parks and Recreation, were popular this year. Scavenger hunts, like this "buzzy" one, were trending. And, as always, Halloween decoration and costumes were impressive.

Safe and fun Halloween Trunk or Treat for everyone at Bellaire United Methodist Church hosted a fun and safe Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event.
