The 5th annual Power of Literacy Luncheon has been transformed into a virtual literary fête this year. Chaired by (pictured, from left) Betty Hrncir and Sidney Faust, the luncheon – themed Beyond the Pearls: Wit, Wisdom and Wonder of Barbara Bush – will take place Oct. 22. Speakers include Neil and Maria Bush, Courtney and Jim Nantz, former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, Ambassador Sichan Siv and Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian Jon Meacham.
