Sarah Wang

Sarah Wang, a junior at Phillips Academy Andover, spent her summer in Houston focused on running the local chapter of nonprofit La Lune. The organization, founded in 2018 by Sarah along with two peers, is dedicated to ensuring that all women and girls, regardless of their socioeconomic background, have access to menstrual products. This summer, La Lune has donated more than 550 period packages, containing products and educational brochures, to homeless shelters, detention centers and community centers across the nation. In Houston, Sarah coordinated donations to community centers such as The Montrose Center (she is pictured, on left, with a representative from The Montrose Center).
