Concert for a cause

Youth creators, most from the Spring Branch area, are coming together on Aug. 10 at West Houston Chinese Church for a benefit concert to aid cancer patients. They include Liangston (R&B singer/songwriter), No Rehearsal (bandmates Matt Cobb, David Sho and Christian Mireles), Crystal Wen (animator), Catherine Larson (choreographer) and Tristan Nigos (videographer), plus Crystal King (also known as Crystal Wang), a pop singer/songwriter and recent valedictorian graduate of Memorial High School. Crystal (pictured) is attending Harvard University and Berklee College of Music's dual degree program this fall. She’s the founder and CEO of the nonprofit SOAR (Students for Oncological Aid and Relief). See crystalkingmusic.com.
