James Woodruff popped the question in a surprise proposal to his Bellaire High School sweetheart, Marissa Ariza. The pair first met and began dating as students at BHS, and then both attended the University of Mississippi. They moved back to Bellaire in May 2016. A proposal happened this past December at Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens, after having spent the evening with family enjoying the holiday lights and décor. Parents Mario and Kyle Ariza and J.D. and Linda Woodruff were lucky enough to witness the moment James got down on one knee and proposed in front of the beautiful bridge to a shocked Marissa. Their wedding is set for March 2019 at Big Sky Barn in Montgomery.
