Island hoppers

It “shore” sounded like a wonderful break from life when Amy and Aron Grenader took their adult sons, Michael and Drew, to Hawaii. Amy and Aron, veteran Hawaii travelers, rented a car for two weeks on Maui, Kauai and Oahu. In Oahu, where Amy and Aron honeymooned in 1974, they visited Pearl Harbor three days after the bombing anniversary and met Delton Walling, a survivor of Pearl Harbor. Delton saw the whole thing happen from a watchtower 150 feet above. He is 94 years old. They also took a train ride around the historic Dole Plantation, swung their hips at a Lahaina Luau, and “aww”-ed at the sea creatures at the underwater paradise in the Maui Ocean Center aquarium.
