Alex Gatto

Presbyterian School seventh grader Alex Gatto (pictured) is a competitive swimmer with the Briar Club. He began swimming with the Briar Club’s summer team when he was 4 years old, and began the competitive year-round program at age 11. Butterfly is Alex’s favorite and best stroke, and he also swims freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. The practice schedule is intense, and Alex can be found in the pool four days each week, to prepare for a swim meet every month. One of his favorite parts of the swim team is meeting new friends who are different ages and attend multiple schools. He aspires to attend the Gulf Championship meet again this year, and to quality for the TAGS (Texas Age Group Swimming) meet.
